Middleburg Communities, in conjunction with Creating Our Future Inc., gave out toys and other types of gifts to 18 families that live at our Vesta communities in Atlanta, Georgia. The holidays this year were very different for everyone during the pandemic. With unemployment rates at an all-time high and families struggling to pay essential bills, we made it a priority to bring resources to our residents so they could have the best holiday season possible.
With help from Creating Our Future Inc., we were able to positively impact 18 families. The families not only received several gifts for each minor in the family but also received a care package with information about local resources that can provide care and assistance in many ways, including school supplies, tutoring opportunities for the kids and other items that will come in handy while at home. Residents were very excited to get free gifts but also were thankful for the other resources they received. One resident said, “My kids are going to love these gifts. We can have a real Christmas and that means everything to my family and I."
